Manistee County Warrant Records Manistee County Warrant Records

This page explains what we can help with and where to take a question about an official Manistee County warrant. Almost everything belongs with the court that issued the order or the office that serves it, not with us. The routing below sends each kind of question to the office that can actually answer it.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice to anyone. For any of those, contact the court that issued the order or the sheriff's office directly.

Need Official Warrant Information?

Most calls about a Manistee County warrant fall into four groups, and each one has a different destination. The list below is the fastest way to sort a question before dialing.

  • Whether an order exists: contact the clerk of the court that issued it, or the Sheriff's Office if the question is about service
  • A bench warrant from a missed date: contact the court that set the case, since that court issued and holds the order
  • Clearing or resolving an order: talk with a licensed Michigan attorney and the issuing court about a voluntary appearance, a bond, or a motion to recall
  • An arrest warrant tied to a charge: the issuing court sets the charge and bond, and a peace officer serves the order

Courts and clerks answer for their own files. The 85th District Court at 415 Third Street handles traffic, misdemeanor, and civil-infraction cases, with its counter on the second floor off the south entrance and weekday hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 231-723-5010. The 19th Circuit Court shares the building and covers felony, family, and juvenile matters at 231-723-6664, and the County Clerk, which keeps Circuit, Family, and Juvenile files, can be reached at 231-723-3331.

For service, custody, and jail questions, the Manistee County Sheriff's Office is at 1525 E Parkdale Avenue, Manistee, MI 49660 and answers at 231-723-8393. The jail runs a 24-hour line at 231-723-8435, and Central Dispatch at 1527 E Parkdale Avenue takes non-emergency dispatch calls at 231-723-6241. Friend of Court questions, including support and custody administration, go to 231-723-7242.

Records requests follow the agency that holds the record. Sheriff incident, service, and camera records go through the Sheriff's Office FOIA coordinator at foiacoordinator@manisteesheriff.org, while dispatch call, radio, and CAD records go to Central Dispatch. City of Manistee police records use the city's own request form rather than the county route. The county FOIA procedures allow a written or verbal request that describes the record well enough to find it, with a five-business-day response and a possible ten-business-day extension.

Please do not send us personal case details, and do not ask us to check a name. We cannot run a search, and we cannot store a file.
